Community Heart & Soul - Getting Started

DCI Community Capacity Assessment
DCI's Community Capacity Assessment is designed to measure and track your communities perspectives on six key dimensions of economic development capacity. Completing the full Colorado Challenge Program (which is free!) will provide a data-driven comparable to your community perspectives.
Use this tool at the start of Community Heart & Soul, or any other major outreach initiative, to gain strategic insight on communicating with your stakeholders, prioritizing your action plan, focus on the next steps that best fit your community capacity, and track the impact of your work over time as you build capacity in your community!
Thank you for completing the application!
The community application deadline for the 2025-2026 CO Heart & Soul program is March 6th. Successful applicants for financial support for the program will be notified by email of their award, as well as instructions for getting started with the Heart & Soul program.
Applicants who are interested in the program and may not have a financial award are still eligible to participate in Community Heart & Soul, and additional information on how to proceed will be emailed to the application contact after March 6th.
