Small Development in Parachute – Building Capacity for Rural Redevelopment

Communities across rural Colorado are looking for ways to encourage investment, revitalize downtowns, and support locally driven development. This workshop is designed to help build a stronger pool of small developer entrepreneurs investing in the region, help communities better understand the realities small developers face, and strengthen local partnerships that support small-scale development and long-term economic vitality.

This interactive workshop will bring together developers, investors, local leadership, elected officials, and regional partners for candid conversations about the opportunities and challenges of rural development. Participants will explore what it takes to move projects forward in small communities, identify barriers to investment, and discuss strategies for creating more supportive local environments for redevelopment and infill projects.

This series is intended to foster collaboration, build local capacity, and create momentum for community-driven investment across rural Colorado.
