Alamosa (2005): In 2005, DCI was asked to provide a marketing strategy for Alamosa’s downtown. Leadville (2014): In April 2014, DCI visited the City of Leadville to help them create a downtown assessment plan to further a variety of downtown initiatives, including building on the tourist economy, and utilizing historic assets. DCI helped Leadville strategize for improved organizational and financing structures, improve outreach and communications efforts, look at strategies to better include all demographics, explore ways to increase staff and capacity and develop a strong economic development plan.Monte Vista (2005): In 2005 DCI visited the City of Monte Vista. The objective was to figure out how to market the town for businesses and consumers alike. The town needed to develop an inventory of what they had including existing buildings, businesses, and lodging. DCI developed building blocks for Monte Vista to implement and encouraged them not to reinvent the wheel.
