IN THE GAME // This multi-day event featured smart people, pioneering research, powerful ideas and placed-based strategies designed to make our Colorado downtowns better. This year we moved beyond the traditional “talking heads” conference. Instead, we transformed the event into a tool to help communities solve the difficult challenges they face right now. Participants left feeling inspired and equipped with a tangible plan to make change happen. But don't take our word for it, scroll down to see what people said about the conference themselves.
The 2017 Vibrant Downtowns IN THE GAME Conference was held at Mountain Thunder Lodge, near downtown Breckenridge, CO. Some of the conference highlights featured presentations by Steven Thomson from the Van Alen Institute, Julie Burros from Boston Creates, and Vince Kadlubek of Meow Wolf, opportunities for real problem-solving at our Challenge Studios, tours of the many aspects of downtown Breckenridge, and a host of sponsored lunches in the town’s fine selection of restaurants.
