DCI Announces Call for Session Proposals for 2012 Annual Conference in Golden

DENVER -- January 11, 2012 -- Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI), a nonprofit membership organization committed to building better communities through educational and technical assistance to downtowns, commercial districts and town centers, is pleased to announce a call for session proposals for the 2012 Annual Conference to be held in downtown Golden, Colorado, on September 12-14, 2012. Deadline for session proposal submissions is Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
The annual conference presents the opportunity for attendees to learn best downtown revitalization practices from national, state and local experts with three days of approximately 30 conference sessions, mobile workshops, and lunchtime dine-around forums, as well as many networking opportunities.
Conference attendees include municipal officials, city managers, planners and community developers; architectural, planning and economic development consulting firms; investment bankers; attorneys; and representatives from Colorado Main Street communities, urban renewal authorities, downtown development authorities and business improvement districts.
DCI is currently requesting proposals for speakers and sessions on economic and community development topics. Before submitting session proposal, speakers are asked to view the 2012 Conference Session RFP Flyer for submission details.
