DCI Announces 2012 Annual Meeting on February 1 to Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Downtown Institute: Design on February 2-3 Includes Complimentary Registration to Colorado Preservation, Inc.'s Saving Places Conference
DENVER -- January 9, 2012 -- Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI), a non-profit membership organization committed to building better communities through educational and technical assistance to downtowns, commercial districts and town centers, is pleased to announce our 2012 annual meeting to be held on February 1 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. All DCI members are encouraged to attend.
The administrative portion of the annual meeting will begin at 3pm and include a presentation on 2011 accomplishments, presentation of 2011 Downtown Institute certifications, and voting on new members. At 4pm, keynote speakers Tracy Huggins, executive director, Denver Urban Renewal Authority, and Sam Mamet, executive director, Colorado Municipal League, will be introduced as they will present a look at downtown revitalization over the last 20 years and what the future holds for Colorado. Anna Jones, DCI's 2012 president of the board of directors and vice president at Progressive Urban Management Associates, will also present DCI's objectives for 2012.
DCI is also thrilled to once again present our Downtown Institute in conjunction with Colorado Preservation, Inc.'s (CPI) Annual Saving Places Conference. All Downtown Institute will receive complimentary attendance to CPI's Saving Places Conference.
