In mid-January 2018, Idaho Springs serves as an international pilot project to take participants through a process to consider development sites and the impacts of different types of development in the well being effects of various development options. Part I will assess potential sites for redevelopment focused on shaping design and guidance for investment to address sociability, walkability, and community engagement.
Part II of this event showcases the findings of site analysis in combination with the overview of property and sales tax revenues generated by different types of development in the county. Part II will be:

DCI is pleased to invite interested stakeholders to engage with Joe Minicozzi of Urban3 as he shares the process and results generated through a land use Return on Investment and Scenario Planning Analysis and how this might help Boulder County communities. The purpose of the ROI tool is to be able to identify high return investments on a consistent and continuous basis, enabling better future capital improvement decisions. Urban3 helps cities understand the long game: how will new transit, improved streets or bicycle and pedestrian facilities create more tax revenue? Since 1982, Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) has been committed to building better communities by providing assistance to Colorado downtowns, commercial districts and town centers. DCI's 2018 Vibrant Downtown Event IN THE GAME will be held on April 10-13 in Boulder, CO. IN THE GAME is a three day interactive educational experience. We focus on harnessing national, state, and local resources to expand the way our downtown champions think and provide real problem solving opportunities.

Each year, DCI holds an Annual URA Dinner, sponsored by Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, to celebrate achievements of urban renewal authorities. We encourage participation from staff, boards, partners, consultants, legislators, and developers to network and build stronger relationships and understanding of this work in Colorado.
