DCI is thrilled to feature Tracy Huggins, Executive Director, Denver Urban Renewal Authority, as the keynote speaker at our annual members meeting. All members are invited to attend on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. Ms. Huggins's keynote will address Building Downtown Through Civic Entrepreneurship: Urban Renewal and Historic Preservation, an examination of urban renewal authorities (URAs) and how their programs have positively impacted historic preservation .

Keynote Speaker Bio
Tracy Huggins is Executive Director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA), a full-service redevelopment agency engaged in neighborhood and downtown revitalization, economic development, home ownership and housing rehabilitation throughout the City and County of Denver. Under her leadership, DURA plays a role in many of the city's most important redevelopment efforts and also helps revitalize neighborhoods through a variety of housing rehabilitation programs for low and moderate-income homeowners. Ms. Huggins is on the boards of directors of Downtown Colorado, Inc, Denver Housing Authority, Mile High Housing Fund, and Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation. She also is a member of the steering committee for the Downtown Denver Plan, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Urban Land Institute. She is also a 2001 graduate of the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Montana.
