Communities interested in applying for assistance should submit an application to Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) for evaluation. Depending on the services requested, DCI can usually execute the requested services within six weeks of the receipt of the application.

As a non-profit organization, DCI has worked hard to develop a technical assistance program that provides training to Colorado communities for tens of thousands of dollars less than the cost of market rate consulting services. To accomplish this, DCI selects a team of professionals from our membership base to volunteer their extremely valuable time and specialized revitalization expertise. However, there are still many administrative fees necessary to provide the community a training, finished report and action plan.

To apply, click on the link below for the online technical assistance application.  In addition to providing basic information on your community, please be prepared to answer the following questions and/or provide the following information:
1.) What is your estimated downtown budget?
2.) Description of challenges and how they impact community and economy
3.) Description of current initiatives to enhance downtown
4.) Description of technical assistance services you are requesting, including desired end result and steps you envision as necessary
5.) Identify specialized skills required for technical assistance request
6) Describe how you will invite participation and distribute assessment findings to all community stakeholders before and after assessment
7.) Proposed timeframe

Your completion of this technical assistance application must also include submission of the following items within 10 business days of completing this online application: (1) your community's articles of incorporation and (2) a 1-page letter detailing how a technical assistance training visit will improve your economic and community development.
