Towns, Cities, and Quasi-Governmental Districts
As a local government, you know that downtown and commercial districts are essential to a community’s economic health. More than shopping destinations, they are employment centers, v
isitor attractions, tax generators and historic cores. They are a reflection of how a community sees itself – and therefore, how it is seen by others. DCI can provide you with the tools and resources you need to keep your downtown center or commercial district healthy and thriving.
Local government membership fees are set up on a sliding scale based on population. Development and improvement districts (DIDs), e.g., BIDs, DDAs, and URAs, that are not housed in a municipality pay one low membership. Both membership types are organizational memberships, which means any local government or DID employee can utilize DCI membership benefits.
Here’s how we provide maximum value for your limited membership funds:
- On-Site Technical Assistance: Invite a team of DCI multi-disciplinary downtown revitalization specialists to your community
for specific or general services.
- Educational Events: DCI’s annual, quarterly, and monthly events on various commercial district and downtown revitalization topics provide educational opportunities for all regions of Colorado.
- Networking: Communities and consultant groups provided ample opportunities to share best downtown revitalization practices and practical solutions.
- Development & Improvement District Support: DCI celebrates achievements and creates coalitions to support and sustain the valuable tools and services for downtown revitalization.
