2013 Annual Conference Silent Auction
DCI invites all Colorado communities to participate in a fun way to promote Colorado’s downtowns and encourage local tourism! DCI will be hosting a Tour of Colorado’s Downtowns silent auction at our 2013 DCI Annual Conference: Vital Colorado Downtowns.
What Should You Include in your "Tour of [Your Town]” Package?
We are asking downtowns to develop a Tour of [Your Town] package, including a one-night stay for two in a downtown hotel (preferably historic), a restaurant gift certificate for two, and an itinerary for the best places to visit in town (restaurants, shopping, recreation, etc.) Download a sample itinerary here! Any small businesses that want to contribute in the form of coupons or donated item are encouraged. Donors are encouraged to package their "Night in [Your Town]” as a gift basket or other fun package for display. All donations will be used in a silent auction at our annual conference.
How Will Your Community Be Promoted?
DCI will feature all Tour of [Your Town] packages at our annual conference and in promotional materials (Items must be received by July 26, 2013 to guarantee inclusion on website and in promotional materials.) All communities may submit town/city logos for inclusion as sponsors. DCI will also feature a link to all participating communities and package details on our website.
DCI reserves the right to change the silent auction to a give-away if we have a limited number of submissions. In either case, the downtown package will be featured in a prominent location at our conference.
"Tour of [Your Town]” Package Submission
All communities submitting a downtown package for the auction will receive recognition in the conference materials. Logos must be submitted by July 26, 2013 to guarantee inclusion.
